Don Ho joined Generational Equity, LLC in September 2004; and currently holds the position of Managing Director, M&A in the Dealmaking Group, representing clients located throughout the United States and Canada.

As a seasoned Dealmaker, Don Ho assists private middle-market business owners to better understand their companies’ risk and value in order to develop and execute a custom exit strategy. During the M&A process, Mr. Ho is responsible for pre-launch diligence, business valuations, identifying and qualifying potential acquirers, confidentially executing marketing initiatives, managing due diligence, and negotiating letters of intents (LOIs) and the definitive purchase agreements. For this role, Mr. Ho brings over 19 years’ experience and knowledge of corporate valuation instruments, financial modeling and analysis, industry and economic research, risk and probability analytics, quality of earnings assessments, and M&A transaction expertise.

Prior to his current position, Don Ho was principally responsible for developing Generational Equity’s proprietary valuation models and templates, performing Corporate Valuations, and preparing Offering and Confidential Information Memorandums as Project Manager, M&A.

During his tenure, Don Ho has consulted and valued over 350 private middle market companies operating in a variety of industries with emphasis in the medical, manufacturing, information technology, construction, and distribution sectors with company revenues ranging from a million to in excess of half a billion dollars. Mr. Ho also has a network of, and tremendous experience working with international buyers, and because of this, has successfully closed transactions with both Canadian and European Public Companies. Additionally, Don Ho has completed minority buyouts, leverage recapitalization, and has raised capital through minority offerings in order to fund future growth initiatives for the business and provide minor liquidity for the principals. Lastly, Mr. Ho has experience assisting buyers and clients to secure Asset-Backed Lines of Credit, SBA Loans, and conventional debt financing.

In 2012, Don Ho provided M&A support and due diligence for the acquisition of IM Solutions by LeadingResponse, a portfolio company of Huron Capital. That transaction subsequently won the prestigious M&A Advisor’s “M&A Deal of the Year Award ($25MM - $50MM).”

In 2014, Don Ho was the Lead Dealmaker for the acquisition of UST Corporation by Tregaron Capital, which subsequently won the “M&A Deal of the Year Award ($10MM - $20MM).”

In 2016, Don Ho was the Lead Dealmaker for the acquisition of Concut by a strategic acquirer, Dixie Diamond Manufacturing and Mangrove Equity Partners, which was a Finalist for the “M&A Deal of the Year Award ($10MM - $20MM).”

In 2019, Don Ho was the Lead Dealmaker for the acquisition of the Consolidated Companies of Spectrum Solutions and Go-2 Fulfillment by DW Healthcare Partners, which subsequently won the “M&A Deal of the Year Award ($75MM - $100MM),” as well as “International M&A Healthcare and Life Science Deal of the Year Award” and the “International M&A Private Equity Deal of the Year Award ($50MM - $100mm).”

In 2021, Don Ho was the Lead Dealmaker for the acquisition of Eastern Business Forms (EBF) by Gen Cap America, which subsequently won the “International M&A Private Equity Deal of the Year Award ($10MM - $100MM) and the International M&A Deal of the Year Award ($25MM - $50MM).”

Don Ho holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to Generational Equity, Mr. Ho worked at Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase in various analytical and management capacities.
