Generational Group is currently hiring a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join its growing legal team in Richardson, Texas. Reporting to our Senior Counsel, this position will be focused on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor and client contracts, as well as performing project management, contract administration, legal research, and other legal support functions. This role will lead new initiatives and be critical to Generational’s legal and compliance functions. The successful candidate will have strong analytical, project management, organizational, and collaborative skills and be detailed oriented.

This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal business teams to draft, review, edit, analyze, negotiate, route for signature, and administer vendor and client contracts
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline or improve contracting processes
  • Organize and coordinate Generational’s corporate filings and entity registrations across the organization, including annual reports, good standings, foreign qualifications, and manage other corporate records
  • Create, manage, and identify initiatives to make the legal team more organized and efficient, including leading or assisting the legal team’s efforts in preparation, implementation, and refinement of forms, processes, and procedures
  • Build, roll-out, and manage technology solutions for the legal team
  • Prepare and update legal standards playbook and template agreements
  • Support compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies and directives
  • Coordinate other legal and administrative matters with business groups and outside counsel and provide general legal support for other legal matters, including litigation, intellectual property, employment law, and M&A

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of paralegal, legal assistant, legal operations, or contracts manager experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements
  • Strong administrative, communication, and drafting skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, organize and prioritize work, and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and demonstrated follow-through on project management, including the ability to anticipate needs through knowledge of past transactions
  • Willingness and desire to collaborate across all departments and level of employees
