Job Summary

Generational Group is one of the leading M&A firms in the country. We are searching for an experienced and highly motivated digital marketing specialist to work from our office in Richardson, Texas. The Digital Marketing Specialist manages digital marketing strategy, content, advertising, measurement, reporting, and creative development for Generational Group. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in developing digital marketing content and paid media plans to deliver on business goals. They should have an in-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies and platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, colleagues, and partner agencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Applying a deep understanding and hands-on experience in today’s digital marketing landscape to Generational Group’s business objectives.
  • Managing Generational Group’s social media accounts.
  • Managing and optimizing digital advertising / paid media including Social, SEM/PPC, Programmatic, Video, etc.
  • Managing directly or working with partner agencies to
    • Analyze the results and effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and deliver actionable insights and recommendations
    • Develop and allocate paid media budgets based on performance
    • Develop new and creative growth strategies using customer insights rooted in both quantitative data and qualitative insights
    • Plan, execute, and measure tests to drive customer growth / leads
    • Maintain best practices in terms of tracking / attribution
  • Using data and research to
    • Identify target audiences
    • Build digital campaigns that are clear, compelling, and on brand
    • Report on performance by channel
    • Identify new marketing / advertising opportunities
  • Managing timelines and deliverables
  • Managing marketing-related creative development and informing creative development with understanding of advertising/strategy details.
  • Writing / editing digital advertising copy and content
  • Writing proposals and strategy briefs as needed for gathering approval and aligning multiple stakeholders
  • Communicating effectively with senior leaders, colleagues, and partner agencies
  • Collaborating closely with digital marketing colleagues (e.g. email specialist, LinkedIn specialist, etc.)


While experience in every aspect of the job is not required, the person in this role should have experience building or participating in professional digital marketing efforts (including social media and paid media) and have a strong working understanding of the digital marketing landscape. Experience in Google AdWords and Facebook Ads Manager is required. The person in this role must be a collaborative, quick learner with an understanding of creative development and marketing in the ever-changing digital landscape. The ideal candidate is able to think strategically, organize various tactics into a cohesive vision, and build creative, compelling content to execute strategy.


  • The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 4 years experience in digital marketing or a related creative field.
  • Experience running social media accounts and paid media campaigns.
  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics as well as other internal reporting tools.
  • Experience working with popular keyword tools (Google, Search Console, etc.).
  • Ability to work with data to analyze and provide insights
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills
