Harvard Business School

Established in 1908, Harvard is one of the most prestigious and exclusive educational institutions in the world. HBS is consistently ranked among the top business schools in the world by reputable publications such as Fortune, Forbes, and The Economist. The school offers a robust MBA program, management-related doctoral programs, and numerous executive education programs.

Generational is proud to contribute to the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) class at the Harvard Business School. The intensely practical course, led by professors Rick Ruback and Royce Yudkoff, is a comprehensive curriculum for students learning how to search for and acquire a privately held business. Students have access to over 100 case studies of M&A transactions closed by Generational in the last 12 months which include business, operations, financial, and deal metrics. Each Spring semester, a Generational Executive speaks to the class about how to effectively work with intermediaries, generate maximum deal flow, and give tips for negotiating with sellers.


CIBC U.S. provides tailored commercial and personal financial solutions and cross-border banking services to clients with North American operations. CIBC and Generational Group are aligning together in financial services and marketing collaboration. Since 1908, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy has served as a forum for the nation’s 55 State Boards of Accountancy. Each State Board administers the Uniform CPA Examination, license over 650,000 Certified Public Accountants and regulate the practice of public accountancy in the United States.

NASBA is dedicated to educating accountants and other professionals. Beginning in mid-October 2022, those looking to continue their education and gain CPE credit can receive accreditation by attending a Generational Conference.


Serving more than 40,000 institutions in approximately 190 countries, Refinitiv provides information, insights, and technology to drive innovation and performance in global financial markets.

Each year, from around the world, M&A advisors and investment banks like Generational contribute closed deal data to Refinitiv. Their M&A tracking software database produces M&A league tables using various criteria to provide a thorough review. Their reports are renowned as a leading source of M&A transactional data. At Generational, we often use Refinitiv’s data to gauge and measure our success.

Association of Corporate Growth (ACG)

Founded in 1954, ACG has over 57 chapters across North America and Europe that is comprised of over 100,000 middle-market professionals who invest, own, and advise growing companies. ACG delivers on its mission to drive middle market growth by connecting these professionals through events, media, membership, certification programs, and strategic partnerships.

Each year, ACG chapters host events all over the country. Generational participates by sponsoring and exhibiting at these events which exposes our clients to a vast network of buyers. Members and non-members from a range of industries come together for ACG’s largest annual event: The Intergrowth Conference. Generational Group attends for two reasons: 1) to represent their clients and 2) adding to their buyer portfolio.

Exit Planning Institute (EPI)

EPI was founded in 2005 to serve educational and resource needs of financial planners and wealth managers. EPI offers the Certified Exit Planning Program (CEPA) which is the most widely accepted and endorsed professional exit planning program in the world.

Generational Group’s membership with the Exit Planning Institute provides our advisors continuing education and professional development with updated industry information regarding exit planning and valuation strategy. A number of Generational advisors are CEPA certified.

The M&A Advisor

For over 22 years M&A Advisor has published insights and intelligence on mergers and acquisitions while establishing the world's premier organization of M&A, Turnaround and Finance professionals. Today, the organization recognizes excellence, honors achievement, and facilitates connections among the world’s leading dealmaking professionals.

The M&A Advisor is the preeminent organization for mergers and acquisitions. Generational Group participates in M&A Advisor’s symposiums where participants, high-caliber international deal makers, and distinguished faculty members come together to exchange ideas, network, and accomplish business. Notably, Generational has received numerous M&A Advisor awards.

Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA)

AM&AA has been bringing CPAs, attorneys, and other experienced corporate financial advisors together since 1998. Alliance Members represent corporate and institutional sellers and buyers of businesses ranging broadly from $5 million to $500 million in transaction value.
